Kyle is Riley's cousin.

Kyle and Riley grew up together, Kyle being a few years younger. They were closer than cousins, more like brothers.

Kyle is gay, and was afraid of what his family would think. They were fine with it, his mother and father telling him that they would always love him no matter what and that he was being a little silly thinking they wouldn't love him otherwise! (To quote his Dad "What is the the '50's? You knucklehead, I love ya, and nothing's going to change that! I oughta rap you upside the head just for thinking that!")

His mother, Riley's Aunt Kate, became terminally ill. This devastated Kyle, who was 16 at the time. In Kate's last moments, Riley promised to be Kyle's guardian angel, to watch over and protect him. She told Riley that he was an angel... then passed. To this day, Riley has not broken his promise, and has saved Kyle's butt more times than either of them can count.

These days, Kyle lives in a nice little one-bedroom apartment and works at a clothing store in Bay City. He's a happy and optimistic fox with a heart of gold and a loyal friend.
