Bill’s Trainers: A Knight for a Princess
Read the rest of Ren and Tuesday’s story HERE.

Bill’s Trainers: After word got out that Bill, inventor of the Pokemon Storage System, could also turn people into Pokemon (and vice versa), people of all types started to come to his house to ask for a dramatic change in their life.
In many cases, it’s a dream come true, but it’s not always easy. It’s considered rude to ask if one of Bill’s Trainers started off as human or pokemon, and even worse to answer; this is done to prevent any sort of judgement one way or the other, but the side effect is that “life” effectively begins at the change, and the old life has to be left behind.

Rookidee and Tuesday had been together for as long as anyone could remember. “Rook” was small and sweet and cute, just like Tuesday, but they saw hidden potential in each other. He wanted to evolve to be a corviknight, and she wanted to be the Pokemon champion, and they just knew that they could do anything together.
He was considered a bit of a joke as her “starter” pokemon, but Tuesday only laughed - and beat them in battle, of course. Eventually, Rook evolved into a corvisqure and, in turn, a corviknight; for Tuesday, they were able to get close enough to see her in the grand stadium. She hadn’t become the champion, but she was a finalist, and she assured him that she was happy with that as long as they were together.
What felt like his failure weighed on him, and Rook started to wonder about the rumors circulating among the Galar pokemon. Rumors about a far-away place and a human scientist that could turn a pokemon into a more human creature. Would he be able to do more for her then? She knew his heart more than anyone, and she knew that it was elsewhere; she cried when she left, but she let him go.
She let him fly across continents, hitch rides on boats and on the back of sea-dwelling pokemon. He was tired, hungry, and lost for much of the journey. But he did eventually make it to Bill’s, making the hard choice to leave everything behind and become Ren.
“I guess I just thought... I would be a bit more human than this,” he said, trying not to sound ungrateful. The top of his face was still a heavy mask, and his skin was darker than charcoal. Adults flinched when he walked by and children gave him a wide berth. Could he really help her like this?
All he could do was try. Swearing to Bill that he would maintain his secret and the secret of those changed with him, he returned to Galar. He couldn’t look for her per se, but maybe just being there would be enough to get some attention. Her attention. He could only hope.

Thank you! It was fun to go back and put a bit more into it. I feel like you get more of a sense of the texture - like the feathers and things - than you do when I just doodle it. That said, I thought, 'This shouldn't take too much longer, right?' and I was wrong. xD;
