someone every one of my gecko fans know this is geckos original look, as you can see a year after the teen titans version my ninja friends had their own and i thought "hey they all have original characters with no ties to cartoons" so i thought ok gecko needs a real ninja look so i still kept the black and green with the shirt stripes but gave him some armor, a few years later gecko s look changed basicaly as i learned from god of war the making of, the more armor that was taken off the more primal and badass the character looked so same happened geckos reptilian form was also a help with that cause the reptilian form never wear the armor and i would hate to have to draw the armor busting off when he transformed so i thought the black bandages looked better on the human version, infact now that i think back  furan-san was the one who gave me the idea [link] when she drew that she drew human geckos arms like reptilian geckos arms and owhen i saw that i thought " that looks pretty badass" so i changed that and then took the shin guards off geckos legs cause lets face it when your a ninja who has a healing factor, who needs armor? XD

also for geckos body tone i wanted him to have bruce lees kinda build i didnt want him to bulky but im still working on anatomy so i barrow anatomy references from people who have great muscle detail on their characters like furan does. so if anyone draws gecko whos good at muscle tones gecko has a Bruce lee build which makes since to me cause gecko should be a fast strong guy like Bruce lee since Bruce lee was always my idol when i was a kid.

but over the years i loved this character to death cause he was like my explanation of my personality and identity but was also became so important he was my character that was my mascot in a way something that was mine and no one else. so ya im really protective of this character.
i still work out ideas for his origin story and an epic adventure he will have in the future since gecko is basically my livelihood i always work on trying to make his story would be one of epic proportions a story everyone would love to watch or read or play on a video game.

over the years gecko developed powers and abilitys that i never really told anyone or showed that much in my art, but right now gecko is a spiritual character with powers having to do with the supernatural but i try to limit him so hes not in god mode and try to give him his own faults so hes not like dante from devil may cry (mr. perfect in every way) lol
but ya gecko has a soul searching mission much like myself he knows nothing of his past lives, he is a very loner type person but learns to make friends a lot of that i related to from animes like naruto i liked naruto because of the concept of kids being ninjas and its great way of character development like even though naruto was the main character i liked that they had many characters and explored all their personality's and origin that way you always had at least one character you loved because they all had their own personality's and origins and personal demons they had to deal with much as we all do.

i might add scorpion from mortal kombat was also a lot of inspiration on geckos evil looking stare, as well as when hes in rage mode
