But what can Vyschuss do? If I was Fred I'd push those allegations of conspiring with lions to stage a coup and potentially bar her from the line, especially considering that Vyschuss and Jinjur are buddies (to say the least). But also, didn't the duel between Kathy and Jinjur have to be approved before it commenced considering the volatile state of two heirs to the throne fighting it out? I mean, they explicitly stated that it was not to the death, so why Clan Olaglili didn't pipe up and tried to get their heir thrown into the mix is lost on me. If they were intentionally left out in the hopes of making Kathy heir without competition (I wouldn't be surprised if some members of the Olaglili see it like that anyway), that could cause BIG problems down the road.

Also, this does mean that Jinjur cannot make a claim for the throne right? She lost to Kathy in the fight, despite the legality of the situation. I'd imagine that the officials would ignore her claims, even if she pleaded with them that since one of the heirs was not represented in the contest, the ramifications of the fight are null and void (also I cannot see a three-way fight between the heirs being approved because of how much time Vyschuss and Jinjur spend together).

If I were Vyschuss, I would try to lose Jinjur (at least in the public eye) and move on as the sole challenger and not announce ahead of time that Jinjur would become the Generalissma. I can imagine that someone who was cleanly beaten in a duel being made into a position such as that would be bad press and an even worse picture for the officials to envision. On top of that there cannot be funny business of any variety or degree from here on out from Vyschuss or her vengeful cohort, otherwise they'll be seeing a lot more of chains, iron bars, or their method of execution.

This is the most dangerous game, and someone will lose.
