My reasoning is that Minccino work like real chinchillas, forming polygynous, but matriarchal, mating groups. So one male has many partners, but the dominant chinchilla is actually one of the females (usually the most senior). In the games, Minccino have a 3:1 gender ratio favoring females, so it seems to me males would probably average three partners. As you said though, Momo's a bit special and so there are a few more than that who share an interest in him.
Exactly and in Momo's case, since he is shiny, he'd have more than just 3 partner's, maybe 5 or 6, possibly even 7 if he's that special. I do like your take on Minccino working like real chinchillas's because I could totally see that being similar to a thing they would do in the wild~ In fact.. funny enough this is similar to what Ostrich's do. A male Ostrich has 2 or 3 mates but there will always be a main and dominant mate then the rest..
