A friend of mine asked me to learn this song. The chorus is probably the only part that I'm 100% confident on.
Lately I've been noticing that my voice doesn't quite handle low notes like it used to. In fact, it's been getting higher bit by bit, which is nice...but low notes are starting to kick my arse. Not that this song has any particularly low notes, it's just an observation.
Anyway, The Decemberists!

I think you did an excellent job here T... as to your voice, exercise it. It's a muscle just like any other part of your body. Also... I think if you found the right support band wise it would fill you out.
Take 'Nickle Creek' as an example (one of my favorite groups). Individually they simply lack something - together they were superb.
*hugs...

*Smiles* Thank you for all the kind words, Vixyy ^^. I had a rough time singing this song because I'd been playing a song with much rougher vocals before I recorded it, which made it even more difficult to sing. I'm really glad you liked it!
And so far that's two people who've commented on the new icon ^^. I'm glad everyone seems to like it!

oh no, ur low notes are fine. what octive do u sing in? sounds like ur a good tenor ^^ im a girl, and sing alto myself, and i love low notes.
do u also play the guitar through this? if so, amazing job. it takes a lot of heart and practise to do both.
and a little tip from one singer to another: open ur mouth, raise ur eyebrows and tilt ur head down some when singing low notes. and try to smile a little. its sounds really goofy and retarded, but trust me, it helps a LOT!
once again, great job!
