Kaleeroninentari, or simply Kaleer, is an alien lifeform known as a valian. Based on a silicate material that operates in many similar ways to some metallic alloys, Kaleer's body is extremely dynamic and allows for it to take on a vast array of forms from simple to complex, and maintain such forms indefinitely so long as it receives solar radiation by which to power itself.

While its body is extremely tough so long as it remains warm and well-lit, its mind has become disturbingly fragile from its long life and many near-death experiences. Stressful situations cause the alien creature to go into a violent autopilot, and though normally calm and compassionate Kaleer does not take well to threats to itself.

Kaleer is one of very few 'benevolent' valian shapechangers in the universe, but at the age of almost nine-thousand years it is prone to bouts of savagery like the rest of its endangered species.
