Digital painting, done from scratch in Photoshop, as usual. Mish_Meerkat gave me the brief of a full figure painting of a woman conveying a good side and an evil side, but in a more subtle way than you usually see for this kind of painting. Originally, there wasn't going to be much of a background, but I just couldn't resist. :P

Since I'm going to have a skunk as my character, it's a shame that my username is Foxbane, really, but I kept it as that in case people knew who I was from deviantART. Then again, my avatar is a horse, so I'm sure people are already confused.

Oh, by the way - I've had some critique about widening the shoulders a little. She does have rather narrow shoulders and if you agree I'd be quite happy to widen them a little bit and send you the updated file. If you're happy with them as they are, that's fine too. Either way, it's no problem.
Backgrounds can be tedious, and sometimes the only solution is to just sit down and do them, but it can be so time consuming! However, if you really want to convey a certain atmosphere or mood, it's often a key part of the picture. It's worth doing!
