THIS IS AN AU (ALTERNATE UNIVERSE) I MADE WHERE I MIX THE CLASSIC SPYRO WITH THE LEGEND SERIES, IT DOES NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE CANON TLOS UNIVERSE!

PERSONALITY:

Flame is kind and compassionate towards others, always willing to help and fight for what's right. He is adventurous and curious and doesn't tend to judge others by their past. He cares a lot about his family and friends. He is also very understanding and forgiving, as he forgives his father for the damage he caused while under Malefor's control, acknowledging that this wasn't really his father, but Malefor acting through him. He can also be very sassy and cocky and is quite of a flirt towards dragonesses, which often makes his cousin, Ember, roll her eyes at him. He also has admiration for his father, despite what happened to him and he wants to honor him by becoming the new Fire guardian.

BACKSTORY:

Flame was born in the Dragon temple about two years before the purple dragon of legend, Spyro, who would later become the hero of the Dragon Realms. He grew up in the dragon village and was a childhood friend of Spyro. He, Spyro, and his cousin, Ember, used to hang out a lot before Malefor rose to power again after being imprisoned over ten thousand years. Malefor tried to use Red, the most powerful Guardian at the time, to complete the ritual necessary to fully release him. This made his mother, Scarlet, run away with him. She left him in a safe place before disappearing. When his friend, Spyro, managed to defeat his father, Red was freed from Malefor's evil influence and felt ashamed and guilty over the things he'd done, so he flew away to isolate himself in a cave and never return.

After Malefor's defeat, Flame now assists in the rebuilding of the destroyed dragon city and pays his father some visits, trying to console him and convince himself to overcome his guilt. Some dragons don't see him in a good light for being Red's son, so he has to deal with this prejudice.

And the family is complete! La la la la Sort of. I still plan to draw more of Flame and Red's family, but at least the main ones are done!

So This is my version of Flame in the TLoS style. I always had in mind that he and Ember were somehow related since their names are similar. But I as always saw Flame as Red's son and imagined his mother to be another red dragon, I pictured them as cousins. That's also the reason why I never liked the Flame x Ember ship because I always saw them as cousins so that would be technically incest in my universe (I know they're not stated to be related in canon but I don't care, shhh)

In this alternate reality, I mix both classic Spyro with Legend, so Spyro here is a mix of the classic Spyro with his Legend counterpart. So this Spyro was raised in the dragon temple along with other dragons about his age. He keeps most of his personality from the originals, as a cocky, sometimes arrogant young dragon. Ignitus still acts as a father figure to Spyro, mostly training him and protecting him from the forces of evil. I also plan to make Ember and Flame play more important roles here, assisting Spyro in his adventures (as I was expecting when I first played A Hero's Tail and was disappointed when I found out they didn't have any roles at all). After Spyro defeats Red and saves the Dragon Realms once again, it's then that Malefor uses his secret weapon, Cynder, since Red failed him. There's an attack on the dragon temple and Spyro is left unconscious. Ignitus saves Spyro and leaves him in a dragonfly village. Spyro loses his memories and lives in the dragonfly village for a few years, thinking he's one of them while Cynder spreads chaos among the Dragon Realms. Then things happen almost the same as it was in the original A New Beginning game, with Spyro having to defeat Cynder in order to stop her from releasing Malefor and free her from his control as he did with Red a few years back.

This is just a summary for now since the story is still a WIP and I have some concepts and ideas scrapped all over the place, but I'll be posting them here along with the drawings.
