Artemessa On the Hunt II
Faint thooms could be felt across the neighborhood. Gentle measured steps carried the warrior Flaaffy Goddess of the Hunt Artemessa over the field of homes and trees. She was crouched low as she moved; dangerously passing over roofs and letting trees tickle the soft underside of her cheeks.
Keeping her eyes on watch behind her mask, she was more concerned with finding her target than where she stepped. Mortals built at a predictable height for homes that made it a habit of what height to crouch to without concerning her 100 foot figure smashing into them. Passing over a street sounded like quietly walking over gravel despite the combination of punching craters with her hooves into the street and flattening cars like tinfoil.
It was amazingly quiet despite how she moved. The electric field her body emitted dampened the sounds immediately around her. It had an eerie feel to how such a massive figure could be so impossibly silent on her trek.
Mortals were wisped away by another divine as the hostile quarry entered the city. Artemessa didn’t have to worry about mortals in danger, or more importantly to her, giving away her position with shouts or other reactions.
The Flaaffy entered a small business district, now needing to stick to the roads for cover. She could hear the noises of her quarry nearby. She put her hand on a four story building, took another step on top of a bus and came to her kneed on a car, not even taking notice of a shocked mortal Umbreon named Clypse somehow missed in the exodus.
She was ready to draw and arrow from her quiver draped and anchored over her soft, generous posterior.
The hunt was about to truly begin…
Artemessa the Flaaffy has very few pictures of her finished, but of the few that are finished, they are exceptional high quality. This was quite the dramatic point of view picture I came up with randomly, inspired by a random picture someone sent me of Kindred from League of Legends, one of the base inspirations for Artemessa.
Since this was made, most any picture of Artemessa would default to the hybrid style of graphite and colored pencil at a minimum to really emphasize her gold accents. Also in the newer renditions of her I removed those spikes on the shoulder pad as I learned that those would really get in the way of her drawing the bow.
Done with graphite pencil on white card stock paper.
