Tom loves fruit!!, ever since he was a child, his mother fed him different fruits and he cannot get enough of them, even weird-flavored ones!
He enjoys small and dark places (such as caves), not only had he grown up in places like that, but he can see a lot better in the dark, so he feels a lot more comfortable in there.
He's quite fond of learning new things, doesn't matter what they are. Whether he learns about different artifacts, new cultures, or just "fun facts", he is always happy to be learning something. For this same reason, he loves magic and is very interested in discovering its secrets.
