I was quite surprised to hear it during the talk to. Supposedly, Cheetahs are even taken down by leopards. IIRC the dude said this cheetah above was only 50lbs? Quite light.

light bones i expect. if i recal from what I've read (not on cheetahs, but...) best way i cant hink off hand to explain is that i think they're kind of like aeros with thre air-bubbles reducing their weight. Foxes have very light skeletons too (compared to dogs) which is why they're able to be so agile and fast themselves (reportedly capable of up to 40mph). put that on the cat's more streamlined form and add in the cheetah's extra size overall and the size of those legs and it's no real surprise.

Wow, envy right here! I've been face-to-face with one but there was a thin green plastic mesh between us. And some chicken wire.

it would be pretty awesome if that animal was domesticated or at least tame enough to own safely.
