(Geoff and Chester)
The next day came and Geoff and Chester woke up. After Geoff got ready and brushed his teeth, he prepared a breakfast of two cheese omelets. To Geoff, his omelet tasted like crap, even w/ his spiked coffee, but he sucked it up all the same. For Chester, he enjoyed it quite a bit. Once they were done, Geoff made his way to the front door w/ Chester following closely behind. At the door, Geoff turned to Chester.
"Just so you know, we will be seeing my friends. Please, try not to be... *gestures towards Chester* all weird and threatening..."
Giggling, Chester nodded.
Sighing, Geoff stepped out the door w/ Chester following discreetly behind.

After an awkwardly long walk, w/ Chester mostly keeping to the shadows and hiding, the companions finally reached Lola's repair shop. When she saw Geoff, Lola beamed.
"Oh, hey!" Lola said.
When she saw Chester come in, though, Lola's screen glitched out for a bit before she backed up in fear. Geoff sighed.
"Why the hell am I not surprised?" Geoff asked.
"Geoff, what the actual FUCK?!" Lola shouted.
"Hello! What are you?" Chester asked.
Lola screamed and pressed herself against the wall. Geoff sighed again and shook his head.
Fuck my life... He thought.
The next while was spent trying to get Lola to stop being so scared. Every time Chester got too close, Lola would run like heck! Unfortunately for her, though, Chester was way too slick and speedy for her! All the while, Geoff kept on trying to explain the situation, w/ varying degrees of success, while also sipping a bit of spiked coffee from a thermos. Eventually, though, Lola finally calmed down enough, and her screen became mostly stable again. Though, when Chester tried to approach her again, Lola still backed off.
"Um, could you... go? I'd like to have a private conversation w/ Geoff, please."
Chester obliged and left the building. Once he was gone, Lola turned to Geoff.
(Geoff)
"So, Eddie..., mind explaining to me why the fuck you have a gooey monster following you around?" Lola asked.
Geoff sighed.
"It's a weird and creepy story. Are you sure you want to hear it?" Geoff asked.
Lola nodded.
(Chester)
Chester hummed happily to himself in the shadows as he waited for Geoff to come out of the strange building. Thread poked out of his fur and kept a rhythm going. Eventually, though, Geoff finally came out.
"Soooo, what'd you talk about?" Chester asked.
Geoff sipped a bit more of his spiked coffee.
"You can work here w/ me, as long as you stay a good distance from Lola. Does that work for you?"
Chester nodded vigorously. Geoff then began to walk off as Chester followed behind cheerfully and bouncily.
I finally have friends, I finally have friends! Chester thought happily.
After a bit, the companions made it to the construction yard where Patrick worked. Geoff put his back on the fence and folded his arms. Chester, smiling, tapped all of his fingertips together in the shadows. Eventually, he couldn't take it anymore.
"Um, what are we waiting for?"
"Patrick is going on break soon. We're waiting for him," Geoff said.
It ended taking about 45 minutes for Patrick to come out. While Geoff was all calm, Chester was barely keeping his impatience at bay. Eventually, though, Patrick came out for his break. Patrick was a horned, black demon w/ a right red eye and a left cyan eye. His white shirt read "Best Grandpa" in pink letter and a middle-aged, tired look. A hard hat covered his head spikes. Patrick gave a small smile when he saw Geoff, but the look quickly turned to confusion when he saw Chester.
"Drake?" Patrick asked.
Chester got a confused look.
"Who?"
Patrick looked more closely before shaking his head.
"Oh, sorry. You reminded me a lot of someone my grandchild is dating."
Chester smiled.
"Really?"
Patrick nodded and turned to Geoff while pointing his thumb at Chester.
"Who's your new friend?"
Geoff sighed and explained how he met Chester again. When Geoff was done, Patrick pursed his lips.
"Um, not to be rude, but Che-"
"DON'T!" Geoff shouted.
Patrick was taken aback by this.
"I beg your pardon?"
Geoff shook his head.
"Look I know what you were about to say, and trust me when I say, DON'T."
Patrick gave an unsure look but didn't press the issue further. Chester was simply all smiles the whole time while Thread loungingly sipped his blood. The rest of Patrick's break was spent casually chatting w/ Patrick. He mainly spoke about his family in Ride City, which Chester found very fascinating. When he asked about this "Drake" person, Patrick admitted he didn't know much about Drake. Simply that Drake looked a lot like Chester and that he had a very good love relationship w/ Patrick's grandchild, Andrew. While Chester was disappointed by the lack of information, he was very intrigued at the fact that he had a look-a-like.
I wonder who this "Drake" is? Chester thought, happily curious.

The rest of the day was mainly spent working. Chester was left at Lola's repair shop. Working behind the building, Chester was taught how to help fix cars. At first, Chester had a hard time grasping how to do it. Eventually, though, Chester finally got the hang of it. Thread was actually surprisingly helpful throughout the day. He used webbing to carry tools to Chester, and whenever other bugs crawled into the webs on Chester's head, Thread was ruthless! He'd move lightning-fast to tear the prey apart and chomp it up. Any time there was a bug drought, Thread would leisurely gorge himself on Chester's plentiful blood. (Also, for anyone wondering, no, Chester was not bothered by the bites, especially because they healed instantly). For Geoff, he worked as a paperboy that day (much to Lola's private chagrin). Chester opted to stay out of view as much as possible, whereas Geoff simply went about not giving a frick. For lunch and dinner, Geoff bought some cheap sandwiches for lunch and cup ramen for dinner. Chester had never had cooked ramen before (he'd always eaten the stuff raw), but he adored it! Lola's repair shop had a break room and Geoff was allowed in so that he could heat up/cook the food. As for how Lola felt, she was happy whenever Geoff came around (twice), but wasn't too keen on being w/ Chester. The look she gave him could be mistaken for disgust, but anyone smart enough could see that it was... jealousy...? Eventually, though, the end of work came at 7:30. After Geoff got home w/ Chester sneaking behind in the shadows, the rest of the night was spent chilling out and playing some games. Eventually, Geoff showered, put on his pj's, and slipped into bed. Chester, of course, slipped down underneath the bed.
"So, how was your first day of work?" Geoff asked.
Chester made some happy noises.
"It was great! I can't wait to go back tomorrow, friendo nwn! My daddy will be so PROUD when he gets back!"
Geoff got a pained expression but opted to stay quiet as he went into a comfortable position.
"Goodnight, friend," Chester said softly.
Geoff sighed.
"G'night."
Geoff shuddered, imagining what would happen when Chester inevitably found out the truth. Eventually, though, he drifted off...
