Schwarzpelz - Chapter 6 - Part 28
Had this one done like two weeks ago, but then commissions started xd
Next month, instead of doing a 200% patreon month I think I'll just concentrate on Schwarzi pages a bit more to finally make some progress,
cause there's some really cool stuff coming up and the next chapter won't be long but really really cool, so I'm pretty hyped to get into that.
Anyway, hope you still like it

The question, really: Is it ever intended as a blessing or a curse? Or it is just utterly alien and being taken that way because of the effect?
Perhaps it is not meant as a curse, but that a child of the blessed touching one is too much for them to handle. We already saw Cherry snap out of it in a way Schwarzi didn't think was possible. So perhaps... it is always trying to help and getting everything wrong.

Yeah, it's like how people ascribe motivations to nature based on whether it's helpful or harmful to them specifically. They might be considered 'cursed' because they get taken over by the hunger, but considering the collector inside Schwarzi, from the perspective of the tree itself it could just be turning people into a mechanism to gather life energy. A natural and possibly necessary thing for the tree, and a horrible calamity to the people who get caught up in it.
Anyone who was born a drifter and touches one of the fruits that makes people into drifters gets transformed into a monster? That makes for some seriously interesting possibilities for the world... And the two examples in the story so far were vicious predators right after they were changed? Now I really want to know more!
I have to admit, it's cool to see some of Schwartzi's monstrous past. For all we know, he misses his monster days. "I loved people back then... they were nice and crunchy."

So from the picture above, he was at first like all the other and went through berserk phases and had done real vore of the normal digesting kind.
He's a thousand years old?!!
Is it possible that he only got the energy ball in his stomach much later?
Wow... And me who thought he was one of the kids or a brother to that lady.
Was he born in that other dimension where the tree is?
Is he ultimately responsible for the destruction and disappearance of every human that had not been changed on that side of the gate?
In the past, you have pictured him with nine seeds. Is that why he is so big? If that is the case, did he originally started with those nine seeds or got them over a span of time?
So many questions....

So the fruits don't just turn drifters into monsters, but monsters with extreemly long, if not endless life spans.
That last panel is really cool. I mean, story-wise it's horrible; it's something that we've seen still haunts him a thousand years later, but as far as the look, the panel is really cool, and tells us something new about the giant lord, and protector.
