It's. Kinda hard to think of what to put here other than HOLYFRIGMYHAND. As per usual, its as accurate as I could make it having used pretty much every Convair cockpit photo on Jetphotos.net and Airliners.net as a reference.
Backstory, again, so y'all don't have to go hunting for WIPs; a scene from Lux's early years as a first officer flying GlennAir's Convair 580's. The company has five of these, this one being MDP156-8 “Ramiel”, used for regional freight. The captain is Celeste, his on again/off again girlfriend and the source of much drama in his early life.

there are no words to describe, seeing first the false dawn, then the edge of the real one, half asleep, dead tired, been riding for hours, from the shotgun seat in trucks and trains. never seen it from the cab of an airplane myself though. i wouldn't call the experience miserable. memorable though. and thoroughly inspiring.
there's a time, when riding on the ground, between false dawn and true, when the edges of the tops of the hills seem to be double imaged. or maybe that's just a distortion from the sleep in my eyes. but it makes for those few minuets, a surreal world, which begs for some day depicting.
i don't know if that's what you had in mind, but seeing this recalls that to mine.

Cargo plane. No passengers.....autopilot + girlfriend = mile high club?
Awesome use of colour and detail...the six-pack is bang on, and I can make out attitude and aprox engine settings....looks like weather radar is showing a cumulonimbus that isn't there? No worries...
