I believe patreon is changing that fairly imminently with people seeing things in the currency that they would normally pay with so for brits im guessing its the 8.50 teir as that equates to the 10 dollars? or something to that effect...basically patreon is fuckin with stuff but whatever is closest to 10 dollars and says "This is the tier that gets you the comics early" Do that one.
I think it's safe to do that, because he is never going to say or do anything in retaliation, or repeat his behavior. They have more than enough to blackmail him from here to eternity, and that will keep him honest. The "correct her behavior" part is just military-speak for bringing her in line at work, which is part of the mindset of an officer. Military doctrine says that lower ranking officers must submit to higher ranking ones, so her bucking his authority just enough to get under his skin but not enough to charge her with insubordination probably made him think he was justified in blackmailing her, though this isn't an excuse so much as it is an explanation for his behavior.
I know what its like to be with someone who doesn't accept what you're into and how badly it can build up the pressure and desire psychologically to want it.
It doesn't condone what he did, nowhere near, this guy is so far in the wrong he can't be seen without a telescope... but it does explain it.

Indeed having pent up needs doesnt mean he can go and satisfy them in an unhealthy way. I've got plenty of friends who are married to patrners who dont want anything to do with the kink, but having honest discussions with one another meant that compromises could be reached.
Yeah, sometimes. My last relationship before I met my fiancee was... um... to be blunt it was toxic as fuck. I tried a poly thing and while two of the people I was with were good (one didn't judge but didn't want to do it, the other wasn't comfortable with it but I get that he wasn't comfortable with poly either and was mostly going along with it because of the next person) but the last one was incredibly judgemental and nasty as hell about not just ABDL but any kink play.
He even suggested that I should be "rehabilitated" from it (great fucking choice of words for a queer person to use there too.) If any kind of kink/fetish stuff came up he'd be horrible about it and given that I'm a BIG kinkster... yeah... that situation only lasted six months before I got the hell outta there.

For the first part, it does help that our beloved, yet terrifying, Aunty Tessa is also working on the base, making sure they'll both behave, especially that blue, pink, and, soon, brown fox.
After all, she foxxed up, creating a mess out of Star's mind. We'll see how bad she'll brown her nappy like a helpless little dolly

Well, I'm between hoping he's telling the truth, and hoping he's lying so more plot can happen, it's kinda exciting when there's a surprise I suppose, but it's also nice to see the characters being happy.
Also, uh oh, seems like he's got some rumbles in his tumbly, wonder if he'll be allowed to a toilet or not, hmmm
Edit: Ah shoot I was gonna mention how cute Lure looks in that panel

I love this page a lot. I don't know what you have in mind for the "truth," but I love how you use the stories and actions in this page to characterize everyone on the page.
To me Marellis feels like a man whose needs are unmet, and he made a mistake trying to meet his needs. This mistake is huge though because it will cost him almost everything he did have. Marellis is not in the right, but he conclusions seem believable. He looks and sounds so defeated, and he doesn't seem to understand why he should be treated nicely.
Tessa's disappointment at Star showing Marellis kindness is also telling at how mad she is. To me, she has felt described as a sadist. She sees this as revenge and enjoyment to her. Tessa complaining after Star starts to let Marellis go is great at showing us that.
The other three being worried and confused at how to go forward really is how a community of people would think too. They want to protect their community, but they also don't know how much they can trust Marellis. They know they are trying to do damage control while recognizing how they are going to have to kick someone out of the community.
Finally, Star's willingness to not give out hot-headed revenge speaks a lot to her. Sure, she has been known to act on emotions and not think, but that never applies to seeing others suffer. Her actions feel so on character as well as letting us know that she does not seek revenge well.
All in all, I love this comic for pages like this. The story is so well made, and the expressions, actions, and events all tell a great story with well made characters and plot points. Nothing happens too fast. You are really making a great graphic novel! Keep at it.

It's nice to have a clearer picture of the situation, but yeah, Marellis definitely needs to face some consequences for breaking that trust. Banning him from the parties moving forward is a good start.
(Also props to
stormycalico for allowing their character to take on this super heavy bad guy role.)
(Also props to

I don't think anything here is meant to justify what he did, merely explain it. It's part of making him a believable, three-dimensional character instead of a cardboard villain for the story, and I personally like that sort of character far more than a mustache-twirling bad guy.
Guess my theory on Marellis was correct with his goal on trying to correct Star behaviour but is what the rest of his other statements also correct. If so,damm he is lonely about him being daddy and should just get consent for filming in the first place but I can also see the part of people not agreeing to it as we.Guess it makes sense that neither one know about each other personal lives since they are constantly on each others throats.
'I wanted to remember an event that only happens occasionally, so I did something that was absolutely not allowed and created a video that could ruin countless lives were it to ever leak, including mine if my wife, who is the most likely to stumble upon it, found it.'
Yeah, even if he was telling the whole truth here(and as Fuji400's comment astutely pointed out his actions towards Star very much put that in doubt) he's shown himself to be an incredible idiot who can't be trusted to behave responsibly.

I get why he did it, but there's no question that it was wrong. I believe he's telling the truth and I think Star made the right call, here. This is the start to a path of compromise and maybe cooporation. I see the possibility of the two of them helping each other excercise their respective big/little sides in a more healthy way in the future.
the things he did were bad yes. though despite that id be inclined to believe him. as he said its a stalemate nothing comes from lying. i honestly think in this case star and him could talk this out to find a middle ground of some sort. despite what he did he seems like a reasonable person. i know weird thing to say XD but just how i feel on this. will this be the case? i have no idea XD i just enjoy the story star tells with this comic.
For what it's worth, I think I would have also done what Star has done. Revenge isn't appealing to everyone.
I want to believe him. I want to believe in people's better nature. But Marellis just doesn't have any credibility at the moment.
I hope they can work something out. Either cancelling that charity race thing. Or have him also put his dignity on the line. Just something to prove he is sincere.

Honestly, in addition to breaking the meet up rule and film many who wouldn't consent, he utilized his archives to take advantage of what he had to use against others, manipulated, and all else applied work and personal leisure which should always be separate buisness. He deserves no sympathy for what he's done.
I have doubt about what Marellis said. I'm not really sure he tell truth. After all the bad things he did, the blackmail, the charity party, the plans with the scientists, and all what he said to Star at Flare's Party... For me he lie to save his ego and because he's a soldier, a sergeant, he's a strategist, he know some skills in case of seizure, I can't have any trust in him.
However, I think Star did a good choice. Maybe she's a little bit naive to do it, but she's right to untie Marellis. She could be a baby on an adult body, she still pure and innocent like a child. And a child know apologize.
I don't know what could happen after this event, and I don't believe Star and Marellis could be good friends because there is too much things to fix, but who knew... Maybe it's a new dawn about their relationship. Wait and see.

hes being shunned from the commuity for filming but as for him having a wife its possible the fact he wanted to makestar more a soldier is one i believe whole heartedly. but i would of caught the nappy poo on tape to add extra huummiliaton then untied him and to be sure send a copy of it to fleur ot truseted person with out him knowing. it would be funny if marellisises wife sorry marys mummy was bella who made stars stuff so hes proved a liar on that
Well believe him or not, sounds like he's already being kicked out of this little circle of people, so that's a good thing. But if he's lying, there's little that can be done regardless. Like they can ask for the video back but he may have copies already, then just the entire work dynamic will never be the same again
I guess it could be a monty python reference https://youtu.be/T8XeDvKqI4E
Star, background of Army clerical work, makes unsatisfying but highly ethical decision. Yuss, good girl, representative of non-insane majority.
Juxtaposed with Marellis, also background of Army clerical work, notably poor judgement exercised in the past to single out subordinates with carte blanche. Typical NCO with poor support structure, shows good knowledge of these types.
Tessa, background of something SF, probably has toed the line of excessive force and war crimes while forward. Likely not an officer based on the way she speaks and acts, probably higher-ranking enlisted from the era of "paperwork is worthless; drag him into the treeline and beat his ass."
Everyone else, confused indecision in the face of a frankly horrid situation no one should ever have to be in, civil occupations. Also accurate.

You know, I love these things. When someone does a thing like this and they have a genuine reason, it warms my heart. It tells me that there are redeeming qualities to them. Just like Luke Skywalker was doing with Darth Vader. He never gave up on the fact that his father was alive, it's just he isn't really there right now. Same premise here. Marellis is Vader for a different reason. He, and the audience, see Star as a lazy worker and one that doesn't take her work seriously. I knew that right off the bat when Star walks into the base. I also knew that Marellis taking the video wasn't to humiliate her, it was to hope that it would get her to do better at work. I didn't say it outloud, but I knew that no one is going to be this cruel when they have people around them that don't do anything. Yes, it wasn't a good idea and led up to this. However, there wasn't malice behind it, there was just to, in a way, motivate Star. Not excusing the act, but I will say that it wasn't for ill intentions.
So what Marellis did was pretty unforgivable and he's rightfully banned from future events.
But I can't help to feel at least a little sorry for him. Not much, mind you, he pretty much still had it coming.
But still... my Ex did not accept my little side at all. While she kinda arranged herself with the medical problem kind of thing, it was made quite clear to me than the rest is not welcome.
So I can understand Matt here a little bit.
(Doesn't change that it was pretty fucked up and that he betrayed everybody's trust at the party.
Also... Tessa scares the crap out of me o.o )

Hmm, so he's just a jerk with a lousy life outside of his job and a co-worker that annoys him (Sorry Star xD)... What he's done is pretty much messed up but at the same time, I feel kind of bad for the guy. He definitely won't be allowed into the local ABDL community for quite some time until all is forgiven which probably won't happen anytime soon thanks to that video.
Definitely don't think he's lying when this situation is now a case of mutually assured destruction so it probably is best for Star to be the bigger cub...I mean adult and free him. Plus it's not like he can do much in his condition and then there's Tessa... She's scary... ^_^;
