So  4pobbs needed a update for their - Kortu Species -, and I happily obliged; I'm honestly surprised I didn't upload this here sooner (whoops)

I took the old somewhat more anthro design and pushed it a bit closer to a raptor-like form; I also gave a general color swatch guide of the extremes of the species coloration as well as a lovely not-quite-dewlap the species uses for expression

Each individual also has a random configuration of both their head tendrils and the brightly colored bio-luminescent bumps on their shoulders/thighs; which I hope to show more of as I do more Sterling / Unsung Illustrations!

Kortua, the kortu's homeplanet, is run by a monarchy that enforces the teaching and spread of the Bramble religion, due to the Bramble being close allies with them and cutting secret deals with the monarchy.
Kortu have communal egg/hatchling raising.
This behavior started with the kortu evolving as community creatures, bonded pairs or groups may form within a community, but eggs birthed from these relationships would be raised by the community as a whole.
As cities started to form, egg raising became a profession, kortu would be educated and trained in commonly accepted standards and be expected to work together with other trained kortu in raising facilities.
The noble houses and even the monarchy commonly would raise their children together in private houses, hoping pooling their resources into better education would yield them "better" offspring, which commonly lead these children to develop superiority complexes compared to other children, over time, this lead to a strong divide between classes.
