What the hell, Red?!
EOCostello surprised me with a bunch of Osprey books to help replace what was lost in last years water damage. That was something unexpected, plus helps get back some of my missing reference books. (some of the list here https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/...../34H7MN4W9701G )And Mr Mink is Red's Counselor when she gets in trouble (which is frequently) with the law. Sometimes you gotta wonder.

sounds about right for Red... she has had a strong idea of personal boundaries in all the... what? 20 years you have been drawning her. It's got to be longer than that. I'm trying to remember when I first saw Red and your work... Conifur comes to mind but it was before then.
Getting old sucks... too many years have gone by, along with friends lost... life moves on.

I knew it has been a long while ago... I remember a housemate showing me you work in 1991 from Anthrocon but I had seen it before then... at one of the comic shops that use to be around Seattle, that had to be the late 1980s... damn it doesn't seem that long ago...
Thank you for the many years of entertainment from your work. Please drop me a note when you drop off here because of the harassment and how to keep in contact. These woke hemorrhoids are causing problems for a lot of people.
Blessings all be safe out there...

Well, those books must've brightened your week after all the BS you've had to put up with. And the drawing is great!
And yeah, I think that'd pretty much be my reaction, too. Although I don't have an 8-inch circular saw. I do, however, have a very nice Dremel with lots of interesting attachments. Hmm -- I wonder what this one would do....? :)

Ah Red, the most dangerous Shetland mare to exist
I was about to argue carving an R, with that saw type isn't that hard...then I realized. "Wait...she's carving that into squirming, probably not continued living flesh...never worked with that medium. Don't plan to start any time soon"

Well, I mean, every defendant is entitled to counsel. That'll teach me to get on the bad side of the judges assigning pro bono defendants in New York County.
(In reality: I, myself, have a collection of something like 1,000 of the Osprey military history books. No kidding. I've got the *entire* Men at Arms set, which is well over 500 books alone. You know the meme where guys cover their crotch when they see some other guy getting socked in theirs? Similar concept when reading about massively trashed books, for me.)

It includes, among other things, a very large chunk of Sir John Tenniel's career, and a sizable chunk of John Leech's career, two of the giants of Victorian-era political cartooning. It wasn't until Nast emerged in the Civil War era that the US had an artist of equal power and talent. (Eventually, Puck and Judge made their own contributions.)

A few years ago, my girlfriend and her roommate (my former GF) went to a mall in Connecticut. My ex is 6'2" and built like the Farmer's Daughter she is. Some dirt-bag grabbed the older girl's @$$ and started the usual "Hey, baby" B.S. My girlfriend, 5'3" and petite, grabbed Mr. glad-hands by the belt and collar of his jacket and pitched him into a wall. Oh, did I mention she teaches Okinawan Martial Arts?
