Yes I am joking. I am not seriously kidnapping people, murdering them, and then feeding them to my cats. The idea of the joke is to lead you to believe I am horrible by feed carnivores a no meat diet, and then make you realize I am actually saying I feed them a meat only diet of people - specifically vegans. Now that I have explained the joke in such detail I fear I have thoroughly ruined it. My apologies.
Dogs are pretty similar, except instead of being obligate carnivores, they are facultative carnivores (they do best on meat and should eat a very animal product-rich diet) but can handle the occasional fruits/veggies and grains, they can deviate a bit more from their optimal diet much more than cats can. That said, dogs shouldn't really be fed a very high-carb diet either, they don't have a dietary requirement for carbs. They're just prevalent in a lot of dog foods because ingredients like cereals, corn, rice etc are just cheap fillers.
Anyway, this is a great infographic and I'm all for people promoting responsible pet ownership which includes feeding them the food they were designed to eat! People that get a carnivorous pet and then force it onto an inappropriate diet (especially 'vegan' cats and dogs) drive me mad!

The obligate carnivore thing is SOOOOO important to emphasize to a new cat owner.
A dog can at least live vegetarian for health reasons if they’re supplemented right with stuff plant based foods lack, but trying that with a cat just gets you a suffering, malnourish animal.

I didn't say to feed dog's "vegan" shit. I simply made comment that dogs don't eat meat alone. They primarily consume meat because they require the proteins that come with it, but they do still consume other substances too. Heck even wolves will eat fruits and berries in some parts of the world. However putting a dog on a veggie only diet is a sure fire way to cause problems for your dog in the long term. Don't assume that people are trying to push veganism though.
I had to give my cats special dry kibble because the brother cat had issues with crystals blocking his system up, we still did give them wet meat ofc but they were picky and only ate the expensive brand x3
I miss my cats, but yeah, strictly meat and mainly 2 meals a day. we only had to give them the special kibble due to the male cat's uniery system being bad, this was provided by the vets.
