Very experimental piece. I wanted to try out more hatching for shading, and also designing from geometric shapes. This guy's got a lot of squares and some triangles going on, in particular.
While I was at it, I also changed the entirety of my shading methods to make the process (hopefully) easier; painting shadows and highlights is nice and all, but it's time-consuming and difficult, so it's about time I find a better way.
By the way, this guy is unintentionally based off of the pharaoh hound dog breed. I didn't even know they existed until I looked them up, and at that point I was already done inking; just a very fortuitous coincidence, considering the breed's name and the character's vaguely Egyptian theme.
