Another exquisite rendering done by the lovely Natoli of
DragonLovers, the original piece is here (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/37774392/ ), so if you have any comments about the style, skill, etc. please leave them directly with the artist herself
Time certainly does fly! It’s been a while since we had a family piece done by Natoli, over 4 years it would seem. That was a wonderful fall picture with Shato sporting a baby-belly bump (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/22224601/ for reference). Well in the intervening time, that belly bump turned into a baby - Baby Rayne to be precise! While he has been seen here once before, it was a black and white sketch, so this marks his introduction in full colour!
Due to his name being a homophone (had to look that up) with “rain”, he gets gently teased and associated with the weather at times, but it’s all good - he happens to like the rain, just like Shato! We all know that spring showers bring on a lovely bloom, so here we have Rayne reaping the benefits of the spring rain, and all the colourful life that comes as a result.
A couple of factoids - this marks the last of the complete set of seasons, as mentioned in the previous piece, and makes the capstone in a lovely display we have hanging out in the living room. Also, the location is a favored spot that might be familiar from another set of images we had done (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/16697310/ ) - purrhaps was the very sight that involved ‘the making of’ the little hatchling that’s enjoying the local now?
Finally, a big thank you to Natoli for your exceptional work, in this and all the other seasonal pieces that make up our quartet. They are a lovely centerpiece to our cozy little home and are remarked upon by everyone who sees them!

I think you must be confused - I don't remember any Spring in California. There was just 'the rainy season', the 'not rainy season' and then somewhere in there was faux Californian winter (where the wildfire ash fell like snow flakes) :) It did get surprisingly cold at times though! I recall frost on the grass...and shrugging off the chill once because I was from north of the wall (and then promptly catching bronchitis for the first time in my life). Lesson's learned!
