Yup!
She may be the matriarch and master of the enclave.
She may have shady business going on and have grandiose plans etc.
And while she is experienced in shaking these " derps" off quickly-

In the end she is still a yinglet. and silly derping is a part of the race!

ok changed my prediction after rereading the giant wordcloud of chaos ... it sounds more like something hit the ship and something big or near the ship anyway.

possibly something falling out of the sky due to the "heavens are splitting!" phrase

You know, I was just going back to re-read, and I realized that Minalasi asked Mori'rai about the carts.

What carts?

There was mention of the carriage house, but Mori'rai didn't get around to telling her about that.

How does she know they were heading for the carriage house?

I think that blue orb has something to do with letting her see into his head.
