I think the Gods -like animals- must see humans as either pretty funny or pretty confounding. Looking at our rituals, so bound to our daily routines, must seem insect-like to an outsider and just about as inscrutable. Ants don't have emotion and wasps, for all their stinging, lack wrath. Humans fill each day with busy work and I think we'd do well to remember some of the more visceral joys that our bodies and primitive brains need.
