That's actually a lot easier than you'd think.
It's a lot closer to how I think medieval Scandinavians did knotworks - where they just played around with multiple branches and crossings, and hopefully it looked good - than the really obsessive, carefully plotted out Book of Kells type stuff, which I don't think I could easily figure out at all!

I've done some, but not much; a few things here and there for smaller roleplaying game companies. I'm still working on technique stuff - the grayscale thing here is comparatively new - and really at some point need to become good with Photoshop if I ever want to compete.
