100% agreed! How else can you get the most use and enjoyment out of a mat if they're so dirty that wiping your paws on them just makes your paws dirty? A thorough cleaning at least once a year is usually recommended, though it's fine if you forget at times. XD

Hehe, I'd imagine he was pretty dirty after years of being trampled and wiped against paws and feet of various shapes and sizes all the time, so he'll need a thorough cleaning! XD
And maybe put him through a wringer a few times just in case. Definitely don't want him to lose that perfect mat shape after he's already come to love his new life. X3
