This is the art that I did for a TATTOO I was commissioned to design this past weekend at a Pump It Up tournament (Pump It Up = Korean dancey game goodness) by a guy named Kataido. It started out as me just doodling some stuff, and it caught his eye, and he asked me to design a tattoo similar to the doodles I was drawing. So, on a whim, I figured "why not?" and got to work on it.

He like it so much that he decided he'd get it done the same day. Unfortunately, the shop he picked couldn't do it in three hours (we got there at 9, they closed at midnight), so he opted to make an appointment for the next day. So I didn't get to see it done, but I called him up and he says it looks fabulous, and that he should have photos of it for me by the end of the week.

Since I didn't have a scanner with me, I had to take a photo of the drawing, so it's not the best quality, but it'll do until he can send me the color copy of the original (which, I of course, let him keep).

I had SO much fun with this, and was SO excited about it the entire time I was working on it, and that really fueled my creativity. This piece has been a really confidence boost, since I was starting to feel kinda crummy about my art.
