The air was cold, cold enough that the sky was lit with color above.
Down on the ground below was freshly fallen snow from the storm that had just come to pass.
It was quiet, most animals curled deep in their dens, burrows, or whatever they referred to as home.
But a single predator stood in the snow, completely unfazed by the bitter cold.
He stood there tall, his eyes scanning the horizon.
He loved the cold, loved the colors dancing across the sky and watching as their lights played across the snowy landscape.
