First of many pics from AC. Here we have
Louiefurrywolfy as his gargoyle character Deimos and myself as, well, myself
Aside from having several super awesome costumes (not just limited to this one) Louie is a severely awesome guy who was EXTREMELY generous to help me out with my bodypaint for this con. The process takes several hours, and it's obviously something I cannot do by myself, so his assistance was extremely appreciated! Even though a few things didn't go exactly as planned this time around (update on that later) I still had a blast doing the costume, and I'm really happy with how it turned out.
I won't really have a chance to upload more pictures until I get back to Salt Lake City in a few days, but I wanted to upload this one of him and I for the time being.

Lol, you'd think so... and granted I didn't spend 2000 or more dollars on my suit, but it's still quite expensive. The bodypaint that I -usually- use is about 250 dollars a pop itself, then there's all the money I've invested into supplies like makeup, adhesives, the contacts, the prosthetic, the mane, the airbrush and the airbrush compressor, etc etc. And that's not even getting into the money I spent on Leonidas (I had officially licensed armor and costume props this time around, minus the cape, which is gonna be the next upgrade). All in all I've dropped about a grand on stuff so far, and every time I do it's another 250 dollar investment minimum. But it's a ton of fun, and I definitely think it's unique if nothin' else.
But thanks for the compliments dude, I'm glad you like it

Lol, thanks man, I appreciate it! I try to model my character after me as closely as I can, down to the birthmarks, the piercings/jewelery, and the build. If I could get away with wearing the mane and the facial prosthetic full time, I think I'd just change my name to Kiwa and be done with it
Wow. I am amazed at just how well done both of you are. you look so realistic like a real live anthro. both look kick ass and you look hot of course hehe.
Btw would you know any artist who is doing colored commissions that are not too expensive. I soo want to get a solo male lion pic and a m\m lion with another feline pic done but having rough luck.

Thanks, that's what I try to go for is a -real- live anthro character, so I'm glad you think so!
And I dunno, that really depends on what you like in terms of style and content. There's more awesome artists on FA than I could ever possibly name, so you should just browse around and see if any you like are open for commissions.

*laughs* Thank you very much. I definitely try my best, though I'll never be half as awesome as a real lion
And actually, I do have a set of fangs and a set of claws, but I wasn't really able to get them to work very well this time around. Lots of things didn't go exactly according to plan with the costume for AC this year, but it still turned out pretty darn awesome if I do say so myself.
And lol, no, I'm not a steroids kinda guy. I just train hard, commit to it, and do my research. And being a personal trainer and model helps, too

Indeed, I was hoping to bump into you when I was out of costume, but AC is just WAY too big and chaotic... it seems like who you bump into is always just a luck of the draw kinda thing. Though now that you've at least seen me a little, you might have a better idea of something that'd be akin to my tastes . It's still gonna be awhile before I can afford it anyway, so we have some time to figure it out!
Either way, was nice to finally meet ya, if all too briefly

Yeah, more or less. I was flexing a LOT that night cuz almost -everyone- was asking me to do flex poses And honestly, my arms have grown and firmed up a bit since FC too. I dunno why, but it seems that's the only place I get a LOT of development in comparison to the rest of my body. C'est la vie
well I've never been shy ta come over an talk ta someone... mostly what kept me at bay was that unfortunately due ta my repeated exposures goin' from the outside heat/humidity inta overly-cold air conditionin' made me get a bad case'a pre-con crud so tried ta keep my socialness ta a minimum so I wouldn't be spreadin' it around :P
Oh, you'd be surprised. Con-ops was actually giving me shit for walking around without a shirt on all of Friday night. I got Kage's approval for Leonidas on Saturday, so they backed off a little bit, but even then some of them were still giving me a good time. I couldn't hang in the hotel area too much because of it, so I pretty much had to spend most of my con in the convention center *grumbles*
I guess in cases like this, you need a tabard or poncho, something that just slips overhead and doesn't hug the body so it doesn't really rub your bodypaint off, but drapes over your back, and if needs be, can be tied around the waist or toggle/loop fastened at the sides again loosely so it is a garment. Mexican traditional. :)
Public health codes really have few exceptions they can make about body fluids, and sweat is one of them, so although I'd like paws on your hide personally, the public health codes require anal retentiveness about not letting body sweat get directly on furniture surfaces, especially vinyl where it can directly transfer onto others.
You look too good for a self-respecting germ to live on is all :D
