This is the debut single for Super Powered Yaks, a one-raccoon Boston-based rock-oriented pro-ject that has it's debut album coming up March 5th. That album is called Swell Up Sweetly.

The song was written after a summer trip to Seattle for a different upcoming music project. A couple other musical furs and I "went through it" in a short amount of time and developed an interesting bond. I don't think any of us really know exactly what it is but it might be something close to a special music making brand of LOVE

...Maybe. (Vanilla.)

Outside of the very literal, date-on-a-calendar meaning it's generally about growing up a bit and looking for a love that's sustainable if perhaps mundane at times. Having the boring moments and being OK with that.
