EL CHUPACABRA IS THE OVERALL SPECIES DESIGNATION.
although if the names were handled on a case by case designation, she'd be La Chupacabra.

Rereading my comment, I don't think I was clear that I was asking about the case she was investigating when this started, though since there are two chupacabras now, I guess it would be un or una.

This is a petty quibble, but I don't think typewriters have two-letter keys. I count five "fi" and one "fl" digraphs. (I was going to say "ligatures," but here they're crushed together without actually being combined.)

They'd be typed up on big blocky early 90's computers and printers, so I'm not sure if that would still apply, but that is certainly something I like knowing about typewriters, thank you :y

Courier is a monospaced font. I don't think they'd have implemented... frills like that until copy-pasting was easy enough that it also needed to resist breaking.
