The majority of the Characters, at least the "Net Navis" are Robot Masters from the classic Megaman series. Such as Megaman 1-6 for the NES and so on.
Air Man originated from Megaman 2 on the NES, though he is also in Megaman Battle Network 2 for the GBA.
