i haven't gotten it all worked out yet, but i've come up with that they met when some mythical beast poachers were trying to capture jalal. there's black markets that pay a high price for manticore pelts and venom. hilda happened to be flying overhead at the time and saw, and swooped in to save him. the poachers were equipped to deal with a single manticore, not a bigass dragon!

it was love at first sight for jalal :P

as for humans that hilda does like, cuddle has a girlfriend who's human! mostly. she has some wererat in her too, but still. her name is crystal, and she's terrified of dragons 8D and thus was very nervous about meeting cuddle's mom.

hildegard's just happy that her daughter is happy.

I know a Dalek who's much more interested in being a friend to Humanity rather than being seen as a murderous alien killing machine like his fellow comrade Daleks! His name is Dalek Monty, and he is more pacifist, sociable, friendly, easygoing Dalek who prefers making friends, reading, birdwatching, and making Tea. Monty's main catchphrase is "Would you care for some Tea?". Monty says that line a lot, which often irritates and even angers his fellow Daleks, especially the Dalek Supreme himself, who often rudely says "NO!" in Monty's face. The only person that Monty is shown getting along well with would be Mathew Alden Farrow the human. I really really like Monty as a character. There can be no Cult of Scratchwood YouTube Webseries without Dalek Monty, the "Friendliest Dalek in The Universe"."

This episode makes you feel bad for him, even after his fellow Daleks refuses his tea making services, just because they see him as an annoyance and an embarrassment to the Dalek Empire, until Mathew Alden Farrow "Matt" decides to help cheer Dalek Monty up.
