Actually I took the idea off of a youtube video for "follow me" eyes. Trying to find the original video, but this is pretty close: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BeWsIaIzi2c In the video she uses "easy cast" resin... problem is that particular resin tends to get a ton of bubbles. "Easy cast" is nice because of the low odor... but it tends to be more yellowy and has the bubble problem. I used a "Crystal Clear" resin instead (from the same company) with a smaller amount of hardener. The smaller amount of hardener helped move the bubbles out of the cast, problem is it took forever to harden (2.5 weeks), also it's pretty stinky.

I use a plastic paint palette like the video. Sprayed a small amount of mold release on it then used the resin. Basically two pieces glued together with a clear glue and the back side is painted.
