Trying out some ideas for rendering fur in ink.
See, this is what vampirism is about. Not sunshine, not small towns in the Northwest, not sparkling and definitely not a Volvo. Big city hipsters, vinyl, corsets, motorcycles, motorcycle jackets, backflips in slow-motion to NIN songs, and automatic weaponry.

The description made me chuckle. Quite the jab at "that one movies/book series", eh ;)
(seriously, I don't know what the hell is about that guy playing Edward... though find it ironic my sister and her friend won tickets for the pre-showing of the latest Twillight movie because my sister's friend participated in a contest.... set up by a make-up company. Considering how some certain -male- characters seems to wear makeup in that movie... )

Everything I've heard or seen of the Twilight series suggests that it takes pretty much anything joyous out of vampires as a genre.
I hate to be the old fart who says "kids these days!" but I can easily imagine myself as a teenager wanting to be Lestat or Armand or Louis, wanting to be the Lost Boys, wanting to be a myriad film and book vamps... I can't for an instant imagine Edward as being anything I found remotely cool in high school.
