So excited to finally have ♥ HER ♥ back in the Pokemon Diamond & Pearl remake! Purugly is one of my fav mons and it and many of my top favourites were cut from Sw/Sh. I hope they include Ball Capsules in the remakes, I loved dressing up my party with confetti hearts & stars ♥
Purugly is so underrated (& cruelly named) ;__;
I checked my old copy of Pearl today for nostalgia's sake and mine is still there, and still has her hearts and stars ball capsule attached!
Her name's Poffin and I caught her as a Glameow back on May 2nd 2007. I was 14 years old at the time! Ahhh, the memories...

Aw I thought its name in Japanese was a bit nicer! But yeah you're right, I suppose the first part could also be referencing the word "ugly" instead of just "fat". Fat isn't insulting imo though, it's just a descriptor! Other languages tend to be pretty cruel with use of the word "horrid/horrible" in the name though :C
I wish it had a better name, thinking about other chubby Pokemon like Snorlax or Slurpuff and how they have endearing name references to their weight... ;__; But to me, I love this fat grumpy cat so so much and it'll always be my Poffin! :D
