I've always wondered about that. If a three-dimensional being (even a flat and card-shaped one) was getting two-dimensional and therefore zero-thickness cuts, would he even notice?

Sweet! Although ... I have to defend poor Mr. Dodgson's honor as regards his 'prurient interests'. There is overwhelming evidence that he was innocent of any deeds that might result from aforesaid interests, and the existence of such is merely supposition.

We these days do tend to see sex or repressed sex in everything these Victorians did.
