So for several years between about 2012 and 2016 I was feeling really restless in a way I couldn't define. Something was wrong, but I didn't know what it was. I felt constantly like there was a question hanging in the air, but what it was I didn't know, and I didn't know the answer either. I talked about it with one of my friends and they said "Sounds like maybe you need to try being something different? Why not commission yourself as being a featherduster, see how that feels for you." So I commissioned this from  corvusfae, who was by the way an absolute joy to work with. It's me as a cougar-magpie gryphon with some VERY AMAZING plumage! So showy, so dazzling, so impressive, captured here in mid-strut.

Buuuuuut... Six months later I figured out the question was "are you a girl" and answer was "absolutely", and the gryphon thing got basically dropped. I still like the piece, but it turned out not to fit with how I wanted to present myself. So here's a might-have-been of me as a gryphon.
