Yes, the sculpture need lots of smoothing and detailing but its getting there..
I probably have about 20 hours on and off of work time so far in it.
The teeth were a pain in the butt!

I used to use the grey Sculptey that you would bake in the oven. But I decided to work with a Oil based NSF clay in which you can freeze, heat and really get some cool effects with it. The only down fall is you have to create a mold once its all done since the oil based clay will never dry or get hard. Good thing though is you never have to buy the expensive super sculptey and you can make more than one sculpture "reproductions"bad news is you have to make a mold and buy resins etc...
This looks so amazing, aaarrghhh! I'm so pleased those hands translated well! It was hard to draw them in a way that showed that the thumb is between the two other fingers. But you're doing such a great job, oh man. :D This is absolutely thrilling and flattering.
I'm sorry the teeth were such a pain. :D Slug could definitely use a good dental plan.
Thank you again! This looks lovely. :}

I use a non drying oil based clay "Chavant NSP" so you always have to make a mold of the figure. Takes a long time to actually sculpt anything "nice" this one still sits on my shelf unfinished as a few others I am working on .. As for time I have at least 60+ hours into this figure in sculpting smoothing etc.. But its fun if you have the time.
