Happy (Belated) Pokemon Day everyone! I have a little story to share with all of you...
1 Year Ago today, me and
thehiddenmagpie met each other in person for the very first time and agreed to take the next step in our relationship from just dating to going steady. On Christmas of last year, he proposed to me and hopefully sometime soon we shall be married.
I took a huge risk last year, going to meet a stranger in person at Texas Furry Fiesta that I only knew for about 2 months up to that point and on a whim because of our many shared passions. I’ll never regret that trip for as long as I live, because it changed both of our lives and enriched mine for life. Never did I think that one trip would help me meet my husband. My true life partner. I hoped that would be the case, but I didn’t know until that moment when he pulled up to pick me up from the airport. He pulled over in his car, and all we could do was laugh. We laughed and laughed. Didn’t even hesitate to kiss or hold each other’s hand. It was honestly love at first sight. And how poetic, that our anniversary is on Pokémon Day as well. February 27th. The very series that brought us together. Our shared love of Pokemon made me realize he was the only person I could ever love in this way.
Magpie has helped me through so much. He makes me stronger. He makes me whole. I feel so loved, so safe, so happy, every time he’s with me. Every minute, every second, every moment. There are not enough words in this life to properly describe or say how much he means to me. I’ll do my best with what I have.
I love you babe. I know that because of how life went, we can’t celebrate today how we wanted. But I’m so glad that because of our dedication to one another, we’ll have so many more chances to make these years mean something special and fall in love over and over again.
Happy 1 Year to us, and Happy 25 Years to Pokemon. Here’s to many more!
