See what happens when an ol' werewolf mishears what he thought'cha wanted fer dinner! hehehe
hehehe yeah this was jus' another one'a those one corny play on words things leads to another an ya wind up experimentin' ta see if it's do-able kinda things... Turns out this dish is very do-able an turned out quite nicely... was also a lot of fun an rather easy ta make too so if yer lookin' ta put a new spin on an ol' classic dish then feel free ta give this a try. :)
ingredients:
1lb. lean ground beef
1/2lb. mild ground sausage
one clasp pawful of spaghetti
2 slices of bread
butter spread
italian seasonings
Mrs. Dash garlic & herb seasonings
sweet basil leaves
parsley flakes
shredded cheese blend
parmessan cheese
1 small jar of spaghetti sauce (I used garlic, tomato & onion fer this)
directions:
1 start fixin' yer spaghetti as normal, take the pawful, break in half then break the half lengths again so that it's brokens inta quarter lengths while addin' to the boil. After it's cooked drain away all the water then add dashes of all the seasonings then open the sauce and ya wanna give it just a few shakes... only enough ta get all the pasta lightly coated. Stir and add additional sauce until all the seasonings are blended, cover pot an set aside.
2 preheat oven ta 300 degrees and use a broiler grill lined with aluminum foil and perferated with knife cut holes fer cookin' the meatballs on.
3 blend hamburger and sausage meat with more dashes of the seasonings until it's thoroughly kneaded then section off inta large enough chunks to make large-sized meatballs. Fer the amount I had this weilded 5 large meatballs so that gives ya an idea of how big ta make'em. Flatten out the chunks until they are as big as needed then place a serving sized spoonful of the spaghetti in the center of each patty then curl the meat around it and pat until ya have yer meatballs formed. Place in broiler tray an bake fer 15 minutes, inspecting for brownness. Mine were sufficiently browned but as an added measure ta make sure it was thoroughly cooked I took them out, basted them with some more of the sauce then gave them an additional 10 minutes ta cook then turned the oven off an left them in.
side garnishes: I didn't have any garlic bread at the time so made my own with this easy ta make recipe... simply taost some bread, spread on some butter spread an dash with garlic an herb seasonings, sprinkle with cheese an microwave fer 30 seconds.
After that I simply sprinkled some parmessan cheese over the meatballs then some parsley an serve... ... hope ya like how this turned out an feel free ta give it a try... was VERY good! *pats full belly* :)
