here is the picture that i have waited quite some time for... one of the best that i have been told raises my warhammer 40K with those from strype and Rei Vegan to a new level of awesome. i present High Marshall Helbrecht of the Black templar.
for this character i commissioned the wonderful and flamboyantly awesome
beowulf to do back at FC 2010. when he was having a bit of a rough time.
i have waited since janaury and as beowulf may agree to i have bugged him often about wanting to see how this was turning out! and each time he told me he was still working on it to make sure it was 'purrrrrfect' as he told me once.
well at Ac 2010 i sat down with beo and he explained that the picture was taking longer then he expected... months longer but he wnated to make sure he had ever minute detail correct and even redid how the picture looked 2 times since he took it. in the end on the last day of anthrocon i was given this... and i didn't know what to say apart from making a cute and funny nose that beowulf said made the whole convention to him while i hung my jaw.
this HAS to be the best rendition of helbrecht i have ever seen. even if done as a fur i believe this literally puts to shame most pictures i have seen the grand crusader as a human.

as for coloring this picture... i do not know if i personally could. *swollows* i most likely need to ask beowulf as he knows how to color something like this.. if i did it most likely look terrible as the only coloring program i have is ms. paint.

http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/.....2989_24715.jpg this is the best painted mini i can find of helbreacht online. but it should give you the idea of his colors even though all this was done in non-metal metallics paint scheme. basically helbrecht wears a golden armour except on the spots shown here. does this help?
*giggles and smiles as i kiss ya cheek* 40K can get really intensive and this can be good and bad hon. sadly i needed to do something before going to play so i cut out on gaming time. BUT. i'll make you a deal hon *pokes ya nose* the next time i come to AC. i'll set up so i'll bring 2 armies with me. my loyalist you saw and my chaos marines so my evil bastard versions of my loyalist. and I'll set up a game you vs. me.
I'll give you the run down walk you through and see what you think. AND to make it fair i'll make up army lists more or less the same and we can give a run on each side. so you can give a try as each of those 2 armies. now consider my normal space marines and my chaos marines are only 1 thing in a billion plus combinations of how you play.
There are 12 or so army codexes for warhammer 40K you only saw all my loyalist space marine books. and every army and every player always has there own way to play. some like close combat heavy armies. others like making heavy shooting and some work well with a balanced mixed. my army for the most part you saw is very much a massive gunline. i had to rush my 2 units forward in the end because of the mission always have to adapt and work with changes in the battle.
what do you say skunky hon would you be interested? i know of some furs who go to AC who used to work for games workshop and they can also help teach you. such as
nalltwd if i remember correctly spent sometime as a GW staff member. but there are no doubt more.

i'll be honoredt ohep ya into this game *smiles* its loads of fun i enjoy it a great deal. and as for remembering everything *laughs* good luck no one i know can you pick up how each army plays here or there as you play them. that and you can always ask your oppoent how they run. as in fair sportsmenship he should tell ya what his army specific toys and tricks of his army does :P
now i can't promise i'm going to AC next year. as it depends on if i'm going to MFF 2011. so unless you want to do there instead. depending on what happens with me talking to a friend i may not get to go to AC or if i do it maybe really last minute :/

I wouldn't hold you to try and go someplace you may not be able to, so it's absolutely fine if you can't make it to AC next year, I don't know if I'll be able to make MFF this year, myself, once I get some money together and the likes... I may end up going to every con I can get my skunky little paws on. ^_^ However, I understand how it is with not being able to go somewhere due to all kinds of issues.
Holy crap, now THAT is a really nice angle there, Dynamic enough for battle yet still enough to be very clear, this is a really good piece! i gotta find this artwork on Beo's gallery, this is just awesome! I love how theres actually writing on the purity seal too xD most people dont bother
