Male yinglets, at least, tend to have a "protect the females!" instinctual response. I don't know if there's any traces of that for female yinglets, but I wonder, if there were, would Kass possibly feel such towards Isher?

Regardless, Kass is understandably insanely on edge, has had mental breakdowns, is unaccustomed to yinglet emotions in general, has recently had her best friend stabbed in the gut and he's still not recovered, and in that same encounter was violated herself, and nearly much worse violated. Not to mention the general annoyances, new responsibilities, new people to dealt with who have their own frustrations, etc., all building up behind the scenes.

Point being, regardless of whether those instincts are present, eye-scooping would be getting off light from Kass's wrath right now.

Looking back at all the shit Kass has to deal with is what made me an insensitive dumbass when I wrote this comment and someone even called me out for it. I lack total awareness and forget what people have gone through; I can't tell if I focus on the wrong things or just have a terrible memory.
