I hope you aren't trying to say the artist is a rip off because they used a COLLAGE technique. It isn't new, and they haven't said it was some brand new thing they invented. I also hope you aren't assuming that it's a lazy way of doing things. You can't just directly paste an image in and expect it to look nice, you have to manipulate it quite a lot. It is also a technique used by artists who are professional and it isn't just an excuse not to do backgrounds. It's for a look and feel, not to cut corners.

it's the OC that's missing. If you want to upload collages of your human characters, you can do that on DA and that is perfectly fine with me. If it'd be at least FURRY it'd be less of a sore in my eye, because this IS a furry page after all.

But the diffeence between your picture/the gorilaz pic and daftendirekt's pics is that daftendirekt saves the need to worry about anatomy and the need for any drawing skill.

The difference between the gorillaz picture and our pictures is that all he did was draw his character on a background that he barely did anything to. I already left you a big rant on that journal so I won't go into too much fuss here.

She does not "save the need to worry" about anatomy because she used something for the torso, which she had to manipulate to make look right by stretching, warping, and redrawing bits of it. she had to struggle over making t he legs look right, and then making the socks match up with the rest of the character's proportion. Yes she uses photos that she did not take herself sometimes. If you b othered reading the comment i left in your journal you'd see that I told you we have to take our own photos because we simply cannot find something that fits what we need.

Yes in fact I have warped and transformed A LOT of stuff in Photoshop and SAI. I know the pictures don't come like this in google. I also know it is not as "hard" once you internalize the program you use to for it. It may still take time and messing around to "get it right", but it's not like you guys learned to juggle and spit flames at the same time.

I'm glad to hear that you use/take your own photos, but it's not an obvious thing especially when the links to the original pictures online are posted with the submission. (which I had looked at right away and therefor KNEW she didn't "just" cut them out and done).

Yes, sorry if I keep my "sacred anthros" but I do not want FA to become another DA. I think not too long ago I even read that galleries with human art exclusivity are not looked upon with joy by the administrators. If you have one mod watching you, that's great. Mods are people too and as well have PERSONAL opinions and taste.

But aside from ALL that - why is it that you post your stuff here? Why are you as artists even interested in enriching the perverted furry page with your wicked/twisted human art style?

FA will not become another deviant art since, you know, this website has a pretty loyal furry following. Yes there are lots of people who draw humans but this is heavily outnumbered by the people who draw anthros. honestly I only know of like... two people who do this and the one is my girlfriend.

Mods aren't supposed to let things SLIDE if they disobey the rules. I'm pretty sure the mod watching me isn't like that. I'm pretty damn sure she isn't so flakey that she'll let something that disregards the rules go because she likes it.

If the mods dislike it so much why don't they make drawing humans against the rules? That makes more sense than letting it happen and being all "SIGH THOSE HUMAN DRAWING PEOPLE, JEEZE"


I am not interested in perverting the furry scene with human people. I am interested in drawing things, people happens to be one of them, I'm practicing with the anthros. . . But honestly, if it bothers everyone on FA INCLUDING THE MODS so damn much, I wish they would make a rule about it. I would just leave then and go about my business elsewhere.

I post my stuff here because DA is a festering shit hole of people getting featured on the popular page for taking a screen cap, or they draw some popular anime character. DA is also full of really stupid people that I dislike. Fur affinity tends to have a better community. A lot of the anthro artists are talented here too. I LIKE anthro characters. I like characters with animal traits, I'm still trying to find out a style of drawing them that works for me.

My art style isn't anything special, I know. Like I said I am not here to really shoot to the stars and be a popular person. If that is all I wanted I would have stayed at DA. I just want a place to share my art with people who are generally all of the opinion of "don't like it, don't look", so... If they like it and watch me, YAY, if they hate it and ignore me, okay that is fine.

Another reason that I like FA is they don't have a pretentious POPULAR section. they just show you the newest things, which gives the people who do want to be well known a fairer chance at exposure.
But it's a double edged sword, because obviously there are some people who can't get over the occasional human that pops up due to FA having a human section and they like to shit all over everything.

I don't know why you are so good at placing yourself as the victim. I haven used the word lazy in a while here, but rather over and over again stating I KNOW it takes a lot of work. "Internalizing a program" means you are not just "used" to using the program, but you know it so well you could do it with eyes closed. That kinda happens after doing the same thing for years with the same program.

btw, don't twist my words. I didn't say YOU pervert the site with human art, I said "the perverted furry page", which FA is USUALLY referred to outside of furry.
