He should totally have a a switchable arm, so you can attach a sword to it, a hammer to it, a buster gun to it, etc... Also, from the looks of it he'd have one bad-ass diving attack, with that lance on his arm.

x3 it's just a lance that slips over the arm with a grip on the inside. it's harder to accidentally drop it, or be disarmed
