Despite Kya being the eldest Nakamura sibling, Dai caused a major controversy when he named his youngest and less experienced child Kiera as his heir at a young (roughly 20ish human years) due to Kya’s ineligibility and having no formal education and other biological children.

Relatively happy with her path in life, and despite receiving a formal education to become the clan leader, Kiera had no real ambition to become the clan leader. However, her life and ambitions were turned upside down when a rival Samurai murdered her father during a surprise assault on the Nakamura castle.
Being Dai’s only biological heir, and in order to survive, Kiera was forced to flee the castle with a small group consisting of; Her sister Kya, Kya’s boyfriend Amare Saki, her father’s head bodyguard, and friend Zinaida Kimura.
