Simply Captivated (2/4)
Jack was a bit disappointed that Sarge did not eat that much on their first date. It wasn’t nearly enough food to add even a little weight to the werewolf’s midriff, but Jack felt this would be a good challenge to attempt.
Over a month, Jack made sure to ask Sarge out to eat every week. With each date, he would take Sarge to a new location, requesting Sarge tried out the food there. With each new place they went to, Jack made sure to give Sarge slightly bigger portions of food each time. He found it was easier to make Sarge eat more if he had a drink or two beforehand. Sarge seemed to favor a specific kind of beer over other drinks, so Jack would order two beers for Sarge to drink before and during their dinner.
Sarge seemed to not notice when Jack would place a bit more food onto Sarge’s plate, as he’d be busy talking about workouts he was planning on doing the next time he went to the gym. After the third week, Sarge would easily finish off his plate of food. He always seemed surprised that he could, as he swore he was never able to finish it off before.
Jack decided to be a bit gutsier one night and ordered Sarge another drink… to wash down a dessert the two were sharing. Sarge would eagerly drink down his third beer as he continued to talk with Jack about their lives. And then he’d finish off his dessert. “Wait… I don’t remember the food portions being this small. Did they change the size? Before, I couldn’t even finish off a plate, and now I’ve had both a plate AND a dessert?”
Jack snickered. “Oh, possibly. Though, maybe you’re working out more. I imagine you’re working out on days we aren’t on dates since the dates took up your original time slot?”
Sarge took a gulp of his beer before staring at Jack, eyes alight with panic. “N-no…. I haven’t. Shoot! I forgot to workout today!”
Jack leaned over the table, placing a hand on Sarge’s shoulder. “It’s alright, Sarge…. What’s another day of missing a workout going to do?” Jack already knew this answer. When he met Sarge at the gym this week, he noticed the abs on the werewolf’s midriff were less defined than before. As per the usual, Sarge let Jack rub his belly. Sarge thought Jack only did this because he loved Sarge’s abs, but Jack merely did it to see if his plan was working… and it was. With each rub, he could feel a bit of the werewolf’s skin come with, as if it was looser and softer than it had been a week prior.

Sarge was sitting down on the couch of his apartment. He’d only met Jack six months ago, but the two had hit it off enough to become good roommates. The werewolf lifted one of his paws and rested it on the coffee table as he watched a show that Jack insisted he watch, too. Once Sarge finished the series, Jack was going to surprise him.
Looking at the six empty cans of beer on the table, Sarge knew he was buzzed right now. To him, this wasn’t abnormal. Over the past two months, he had grown used to all the drinks Jack had given to him at the bars they went to on their dates. At first, he drank it to be polite, not wanting Jack’s money to go to waste, but the taste grew on him. He found himself enjoying the beer more and more… but last night, he felt he might have gone overboard.
“Urk….” Sarge said, resting a hand on his belly. He had been surprised by how quickly and effectively he could eat any meal Jack prepared for him, but he didn’t think he’d eat as much as he did… let alone drink as much as he did. “Shouldn’t’ve drunk until I was bloated… that was a bad idea.”
Sarge remembered Jack challenging him to a drink off. Sarge was intent on winning, as Jack had offered to pay for an entire month of gym membership for Sarge if Sarge won. “Whatever weight I get from this I can just work it off at the gym… next week.”
“Ahhh, it’s only bloat, Sarge! Drink as much as you can stomach! It’ll go away in the morning!” Jack had teased, giving Sarge’s belly a quick squeeze. Sarge could have sworn that the “bloat” was softer and less bloated-feeling than he assumed it’d be. “Gotta keep up that physique of yours, so I wouldn’t endanger that at all!”
Sarge was appreciative of Jack’s enthusiasm, but that enthusiasm led Sarge to drink almost a gallon of beer last night – a feat he didn’t know he could accomplish, given how little he used to eat. A day later, Sarge was still dealing with the consequences. He didn’t feel bloated anymore, but he was sure his belly still hadn’t returned to normal. This fact was bothering him.
The apartment door opened as Jack came in. “Hey, buff guy! How’re you holding up?”
“Eugh…. I had too much, Jack….” Sarge whined. He noticed that Jack was holding a plastic bag in his hand. Sarge’s stomach immediately growled, as if pretending it was empty enough for the contents of the bag Sarge had become so familiar with.
“I got some of your favorite cakes and another case of that beer you like so much!” Jack replied holding the bag out to Sarge.
Sarge looked down at the table with the six empty beer cans, then to his belly. He felt his eye twitch at the idea of more to eat… but then his stomach growled again and his mouth began to water. “Thanks, Jack….”
“What’s wrong, buff guy?” Jack asked, lowering the bag a bit.
“Well, I noticed the bloat from the beer binge last night hasn’t gone away….” Sarge poked his belly. He could have sworn he saw Jack smile. “And I haven’t had the energy to go to the gym the last few months, to be honest…. I dunno if giving me that free gym membership will help much.”
“Ahh, are you worried you’re getting a bit lazy?” Jack asked, placing the bag on the table.
Sarge felt his stomach growl again and immediately reached for the bag to grab out one of his favorite chocolate cakes that Jack always got for him. “Maybe? I… also noticed that you’ve been rubbing my belly more. When I do it, I don’t seem to feel my abs. Dunno if it’s cuz I just got used to how they felt and am desensitized to it, but I think I may be getting… fat?”
Jack sat down next to Sarge and began to rub Sarge’s belly. Sarge smiled, closing his eyes and leaning back on the couch. He always enjoyed it when Jack did this.
“Tell ya what, big guy, why don’t we go to the gym together tomorrow? We can do a few workouts if you’d like… and then hit your favorite buffet afterward! That ought to cheer you up!”
Sarge felt his ears perk up. “Jeez, you sure know how to make a werewolf happy…. Sure thing! It’s been a hot minute since we’ve been to the gym together!”
“What’s your usual routine, anyway?” Jack asked.
Sarge put a finger to his chin. “I… don’t know.”
