The Blackburrow gnolls are on the forefront of war on a daily basis, their lives constantly threatened by the humans of Qeynos and any would-be 'adventurers' or 'mercenaries' as well. Such constant stress of warfare has many of their clan pleading for divine intervention and mercy by their creator god, Brell Serellis, and through such vigorous prayer, some of the clan have been gifted and given such holy powers through their intense devotion. Such powers aren't used to smite the humans- or at least not always, but rather, used to heal and mend the sick and injured, so that the clan's constant fight for survival might be extended, and they'll live to see another day. Ratha is one such individual, and tirelessly does she work to keep the spirits and lives of her clan up. Without the aid of her and the other clerics of the clan, the Blackburrow gnolls would have very well have been wiped out by now. The presence of such holy individuals bolsters the resolve of the clan, as they believe that Brell Serellis has not yet abandoned them, and their god fights alongside them through these holy vessels.
