I LOVE birds like I have a ton of bird guides at home. So it's a shame I don't draw them more!! They can be a bit tricky to anthropomorphize, so here I have some doodles trying out different styles of doing so. For example, two of the three have wings, one has talons/scaled hands. I also could have just given them wing arms, but I wanted to experiment with birds that have humanoid hands. Hands are nice because they're expressive and familiar. I think I like the middle one best, I think it evokes BIRD the most, rather than just a birdlike person. I think the way I've been drawing their legs (almost like nylon stockings) is a little funny looking though, may try drawing the feather line at the knees???
