As you may have noticed there doesn't seem to be much cranium protection. Phew... thank goodness their brains aren't in there! Technically this isn't their skull at all, but merely the feeding aperture, with the jaws actually being made up for 4 additional hands. You can somewhat see the bottom ones resembling this with the thumb going toward the back. That is why you always see them doing things like this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2548457 with their jaws. The cupping or shoveling they do with their jaws is essentially the equivalent of opening a palm.

Yes and yes. Its hard to answer this specific question... synxes are different. Not necessarily more fragile or more durable, just different. Their heads can obviously withstand more stress and squishing then our heads, but it is also easier to break or bruise things to, sure. Shoving a knife into one would be so much easier then a person, but then again they don't have their brain in there so the damage isn't equivalent. Again, just different =x

No one can make me cringe in both repulsive curiosity and fascination like you do. This sheet really gave me some goosemumps. Agh!
Getting bitten by a hungry Synx must feel like getting said body part in a meat grinder? All those teeth and sharp edges, huff. It's almost as I can feel it all penetrate my skin, which may resemble getting smacked with a bunch of cactuses in the beginning? (A cousin of me once threw a big cactus on my shoulder with an incredibly force, hurt like hell.)
I'm sure there have been some funny situations where the eyes have popped out during a struggle. Maybe not fun for the one being attacked, but fun for those who watches from a long distance. I know I would have laughed. For a while. Maybe.. :p
Are you planning to do an anatomy sheet of the Snooge in the future? I have often wondered how her cranium looks like, and the size of her brain. And hips, she must have huge man hips.

But if a prey struggle the teeth may sink a bit into the skin/flesh? Not so much mauling, more like a powerful hand with long, sharp nails?
Can a Synx swallow an adult human? If a Synx is down to the waistline of a human, and the human's arms are pinned to the sides, then the only thing he can do is struggle. Beating and punching is futile, and grabbing something is hard. It's not a nice way to go, so I can imagine the struggle would be quite epic. But everyone gets tired in the end. I once saw a clip of a hawk sitting on a magpie, the magpie was a bit bigger than the hawk and it struggled like hell. The struggle lasted for 40 minutes, the only thing the hawk did was wait. In the end the magpie was so exhaused that it could only weakly raise it's head when the hawk started to nap out it's feathers to get to the tasty bits.
Have it happened that a Synx have tried to swallow a big and strong prey, and when coming down to the waistline the prey have managed to get to it's feet and start to run? A Synx eating something large must be like pulling a fuzzy sock over a large object. :p
I don't think I've ever get used to the weird anatomy of a Synx. Shaking hands with one would be weird if it used it's mouth. And a good thing they don't have their brains in their 'skulls', since I think many have gotten some powerful blows on top of their heads during a struggle.
A last question about the Snooge: If she encounters two or three persons who's out looking for booty, will she let them have their way with her, flash her eye, and just grab one? Or does she only show her predatory side when being alone with someone? A more expansive sheet of her would be awesome. Her heart must be in a whole different place than I think. ;)

Absolutely correct =)
Can a Synx swallow an adult human?
Yes, and no... A synx obviously has to eat it's food whole since they cannot chew or tear with their jaws, but it's just a matter of getting things into swallowble size, which doesn't necessarily mean the whole prey at once. A weeper would be able to eat a adult person whole, but the question is would they. Common procedure for any Synx (weeper or not) eating an adult is to eat the limbs first, since the rest of the body can survive that loss. Then swallow up the torso when the stomach is empty again, as demonstrated here. It's easier that way and more comfortable, but it doesn't mean that's how it always goes down. Like a big dumb lizard a Synx doesn't mind if it's meal is still alive and being disagreeable long after it's ingestion, but these meals consist of animals, children, and the children of animals, so a hungry and short sighted weeper might just try and gulp down an able bodied adult without any preparation beforehand, not realizing the difference. Something as big as an adult takes more time to ingest, more strength to subdue and is actually uncomfortable to swallow and stomach all at once, even for a weeper. Like a frog Synxs can, and sometimes do die of ruptured stomachs.

Actually it's not futile to struggle. Sometimes even a frog will get away even if halfway in a snake or another frog; it never hurts to try XD If a Synx is gluttonous and impatient (stupid)enough to try and eat you whole and your arms are pinned, try and kick it. It won't like that. =D And if the positions are too awkward to put up a decent fight on the outside, don't. The worst possible outcome for someone in that scenario is expending all their energy before they slide into the Synx's stomach; it basically guarantees their future as excrement. If a Synx has already started eating you up... let it. It made the mistake of not disabling you first or making sure you were weak, so your going to be in it's stomach perfectly able to give it a good beating: from the inside! Hence the exact course of what happened in this series of pictures. Even a weeper wouldn't be able to stomach something the size of an adult using it's guts as a punching bag. It may try to collapse it's abdomen or twist up in a spiral to squish and subdue you, but just keep at it and hope it's smart enough to hurl you out before you suffocate.

It doesn't even have to be strong prey, as long as it's big enough that their feet are still touching the ground while they are being eaten, they can try and flee, or at least walk backwards. It then essentially becomes a tug of war, but I wouldn't recommend that since thats guaranteed to tire you out before being ingested.
A last question about the Snooge: If she encounters two or three persons who's out looking for booty, will she let them have their way with her, flash her eye, and just grab one? Or does she only show her predatory side when being alone with someone?
Way to dangerous, most likely she'll just allow them to have their way. She wouldn't feel safe enough to start eating; she's a shy eater...

I love it, as expected I am craving what information I can garner about the species. I also have a soft spot for creatures that are quite simply not normal, the sort of thing that is really alien, bonus points if like the Synx they appear "normal"(E.G like a humanoid), but could not be more different in every other way.
I really need to work on my spider wolf thing.... Its the only thing I have even close to comprable, keep the Synx data flowing yes please.

I'm enthralled with this internal structure...Like every other muthafucka commented, I am deeply interested in seeing more details...The way you mix hardcore anatomy and biology with raw gore and visceral images has always intrigued me, and I hope you never stop...Still waiting for a commission slot to open up >_>

Well, the best way to get an idea for markings is to look what I and others have done with their Synxes. It's really mostly eyeflesh that changes on each one. Horn shape changes as well. The eyes and horns can both be any color in the rainbow. XD But yeah, I don't think one would have piercings or anything like that. These are not people who happen to be animals; Synxes are better described as animals with comparable intelligence to people. So in other words, still animals.

These things can be one of the easiest monsters to kill, thats why they are so sneaky and cowardly. That is also why the fellow in this story: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2547214 didn't get ate. He was too fit and able to be taken in a straight forward assault, so the Synx retreated. That is not the actions of an invincible animal.
Synxes are pressure (squish) resistant; they can withstand pressures and weight we cannot (an yes there is a limit to even this). A Synx can probably be pinned under a flipped car and come out ok, but shoot, stab or burn one with fire and it is hurt just like a person would be.

I would hardly call the snooge dangerous, considering its foolishness that gets people eaten. She isn't a menacing monster that hunts people down or anything, and its very easy to be around her and not get eaten. A Synx on the other hand is never safe to be around, and they'll 'get you' any chance that opens. The Snooge is nasty in the sense she is disgusting, gross and smelly. A Synx is nasty in the sense it is weird, volatile and generally unpleasant to be around.
