Xuanji was a kitsune that spent most of their time as a hired assassin, killing targets from those that requested her services. But one day when finishing off a target she was captured by a demon that had set a trap for her. They told her that they would let her live so long as she continued her work but only for them. She agreed saying that she would only do it for a short time before she would leave his service. But like most demons he got her words to sign a contract alone with the "consent" of their deal.

Xuanji was less then pleased with this but for now had to follow the hellish contract. But slowly she bided her time until the day should could one day eventually assassinate him in turn and regain her freedom.
